As of October 2026, Salesforce's US Sales pricing page lists Pro Suite at USD 100 per user per month and Core at USD 195. It does not list editions named Professional or Enterprise. The gap is USD 95 per user per month, USD 22,800 a year at 20 seats, before add-ons. The 2026 edition announcement says existing customers keep their legacy price, and it does not print those dollar amounts. If you are weighing Microsoft's split too, read Dynamics 365 Sales Professional vs Enterprise and use this page for the Salesforce renewal.

Searchers still type Professional versus Enterprise because that is the pair on older contracts and on the add-on menu. Treat Pro Suite and Core as the public new-logo pair. Unpack a quote that still says Enterprise against the October 2026 list before you treat an older price card as current.

What the October 2026 names replace on a renewal quote

Salesforce's edition announcement prices Core at USD 195 per user per month, Advanced at USD 395, and Max at USD 550. Max keeps the Agentforce 1 Edition price. The same post says Core offers 70% more value than the legacy Enterprise Edition and Advanced offers more than 50% more value than the legacy Unlimited Edition. Those are Salesforce's value claims. The post does not publish the legacy dollar prices those claims sit on.

Salesforce Ben's write-up of the three editions reports that Core, Advanced, and Max sit alongside Free Suite, Starter Suite, and Pro Suite, and that it is not confirmed these three editions fully replace Enterprise and Unlimited. Do not assume every Professional limit moved into Pro Suite, or every Enterprise feature moved into Core, until your renewal paperwork says so. The same article reports a Salesforce claim, attributed to president and COO Miguel Milano, that only 5% of knowledge workers on Sales and Service Cloud have moved to the higher-end editions.

Vendr's 2026 marketplace page still prints a legacy Sales Cloud list of USD 80 per user per month for Professional and USD 165 for Enterprise, billed annually, and describes Enterprise as the tier with customization, workflow, and API access. That page is not Salesforce's October 2026 public price list. Use it only to recognize a number that is still circulating. A new quote should be checked against Pro Suite at USD 100 and Core at USD 195.

Starter Suite is USD 25 per user per month on the Canada Sales pricing page, which shows the same USD figures. Free Suite is listed at USD 0 on the US page. A 20 to 100 person sales team already past basic pipeline tracking is choosing between Pro Suite and Core.

What Core adds on top of Pro Suite

Salesforce's Sales FAQ says Core includes everything in Pro Suite, plus advanced pipeline management and forecasting, opportunity scoring, conversation intelligence, APIs, and Agentforce with the free Salesforce Foundations add-on. The US pricing page says AI can be added to Core and above. If the feature you are missing is an API so an outside system can read and write Salesforce, that FAQ line is the sourced upgrade trigger for a new logo. It is not a published daily API allotment. Ask the account team to show the request limit on your edition before you buy seats to get around a cap you have not seen.

The same comparison shows Slack Free on Free Suite, Starter Suite, and Pro Suite. Core and Advanced include Slack Business+. Max includes Slack Enterprise+. Data storage on that comparison is 10 GB per org on Free Suite, Starter Suite, and Pro Suite; 10 GB per org plus 20 MB per user on Core; and 1 GB per user on Advanced and Max. At 20 users, Core's extra user storage is 400 MB on top of the 10 GB org pool. At 100 users it is 2 GB on top of 10 GB. Advanced's 1 GB per user is a different shape: 20 GB at 20 users, 100 GB at 100 users. If file volume is the pain, price Advanced's storage against Core before you assume the USD 195 tier fixes it.

The edition announcement says each new edition tier includes Agentforce, Slack and Slackbot, embedded agentic analytics, data security, and a Premier Success Plan. Momentum is included in Core, Advanced, and Max. Sales programs are included in Advanced and Max. Flex Credits, stated per organization per year, are 500,000 on Core, 1 million on Advanced, and 2.75 million on Max. A straight Professional-to-Enterprise dollar comparison copied from an older article misses that bundle. The seat price now carries a success plan, Slack, and a credit pool along with the CRM.

Ask the seller to write sandbox access, record-type limits, and any workflow or API cap as numbers on the quote. If those numbers are missing, you do not yet have a reason to pay the USD 95 step.

What 20, 50, and 100 seats cost at October 2026 list

Salesforce says Sales Cloud pricing is a per-user, per-month subscription and that most Salesforce products use annual contracts, while subscription terms vary. The yearly figures below assume every user is on that edition for 12 months at the public US list, with no discount and no add-on. Your agreement can differ. Salesforce says pricing can vary by region and customer agreement.

  • 20 (Pro Suite at USD 100: USD 24,000 · Core at USD 195: USD 46,800 · Yearly gap: USD 22,800)
  • 50 (Pro Suite at USD 100: USD 60,000 · Core at USD 195: USD 117,000 · Yearly gap: USD 57,000)
  • 100 (Pro Suite at USD 100: USD 120,000 · Core at USD 195: USD 234,000 · Yearly gap: USD 114,000)

Those products come from the US Sales pricing page as of October 2026: 20 times 100 times 12 is USD 24,000; 20 times 195 times 12 is USD 46,800. The same math at 50 and 100 seats is USD 60,000 versus USD 117,000, and USD 120,000 versus USD 234,000.

Advanced at USD 395 is a much larger step. At 20 seats that is USD 94,800 a year (20 times 395 times 12). Max at USD 550 is USD 132,000 a year at 20 seats. Buy Advanced or Max for a bundle you will use, such as the larger Flex Credit pool, Sales programs on Advanced and Max, or the per-user storage row. Buying them to escape a single Pro Suite limit is an expensive way to solve one gap.

The same seat counts on Dynamics 365 Sales US list pricing, paid yearly, sit next to those Salesforce figures:

  • 20 (Sales Professional at USD 65: USD 15,600 · Sales Enterprise at USD 105: USD 25,200 · Salesforce Pro Suite: USD 24,000 · Salesforce Core: USD 46,800)
  • 50 (Sales Professional at USD 65: USD 39,000 · Sales Enterprise at USD 105: USD 63,000 · Salesforce Pro Suite: USD 60,000 · Salesforce Core: USD 117,000)
  • 100 (Sales Professional at USD 65: USD 78,000 · Sales Enterprise at USD 105: USD 126,000 · Salesforce Pro Suite: USD 120,000 · Salesforce Core: USD 234,000)

At 20 seats, Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise at USD 25,200 a year is close to Salesforce Pro Suite at USD 24,000 and well under Salesforce Core at USD 46,800. At 50 seats the same pattern holds: USD 63,000 on Sales Enterprise versus USD 117,000 on Core. This is list price for the sales license. Match stages, forecasting, and integrations on your own processes before you treat the rows as interchangeable. A wider look at pipeline, forecasting, and license shape is in Salesforce vs Dynamics 365 Sales.

Which add-ons still sit on the higher edition

The base table understates the bill that worries most renewals. Salesforce's Sales add-on page, still labeled with legacy edition names as of October 2026, prices most seat add-ons per user per month with the total billed annually, in USD. Two lines are different: Marketing Cloud Account Engagement starts at USD 1,250 per month for up to 10,000 contacts, and Partner Relationship Management is USD 25 per member or USD 10 per login per month.

  • Agentforce for Sales (List price: USD 125 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance)
  • Revenue Intelligence (List price: USD 250 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Enterprise and Unlimited)
  • Revenue Cloud Advanced (List price: USD 200 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Listed on the add-on page)
  • Revenue Cloud Growth (List price: USD 150 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance, Agentforce 1 Sales)
  • Sales Programs (List price: USD 100 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Enterprise and Unlimited)
  • Salesforce Maps (List price: Starts at USD 75 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Pro Suite, Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited)
  • Sales Planning (List price: USD 75 per user per month · Editions named on the page: On the add-on page)
  • Salesforce Spiff (List price: USD 75 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Enterprise and Unlimited group on that page)
  • Sales Engagement (List price: USD 50 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Pro Suite, Professional, Enterprise, Performance)
  • Salesforce Contracts (List price: USD 50 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Enterprise and Unlimited group)
  • Einstein Relationship Insights (List price: USD 50 (Starter) or USD 150 (Growth) · Editions named on the page: Enterprise and Unlimited group)
  • Sales Emails and Alerts (List price: USD 50 per user per month · Editions named on the page: On the add-on page)
  • Social Intelligence (List price: USD 25 per user per month · Editions named on the page: On the add-on page)
  • Partner Relationship Management (List price: USD 25 per member or USD 10 per login per month · Editions named on the page: On the add-on page)
  • Sales Dialer (List price: Starts at USD 5 per user per month · Editions named on the page: Pro Suite, Professional, and Enterprise)
  • Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (List price: Starts at USD 1,250 per month, up to 10,000 contacts · Editions named on the page: Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, Agentforce 1 Sales)

Revenue Cloud, Sales Programs, Spiff, Contracts, and Einstein Relationship Insights are listed for Enterprise and Unlimited, not in a Professional or Pro Suite column. Sales Engagement, Maps, and Sales Dialer are available on Pro Suite and Professional as well. The edition announcement says Sales programs are included in Advanced and Max, while the add-on page still sells Sales Programs at USD 100 for Enterprise and Unlimited. If your quote uses both vocabularies, ask which document wins.

The add-on page does not say that Core includes the Agentforce for Sales SKU at USD 125. Core's own bundle includes Agentforce and a Flex Credit pool. Those are different lines until your order form ties them together. Do not drop the USD 125 SKU from the budget because the edition name changed.

Assume 20 users, all of whom need the add-on, at October 2026 list, billed annually.

Agentforce for Sales at USD 125 is 20 times 125 times 12, or USD 30,000 a year. That is more than the Pro Suite to Core seat gap of USD 22,800. Revenue Cloud Growth at USD 150 is USD 36,000 a year. Revenue Intelligence at USD 250 is USD 60,000 a year, larger than the seat gap and larger than the entire Pro Suite bill at 20 seats (USD 24,000). Stacked on Core, 20 users plus Revenue Intelligence is USD 46,800 plus USD 60,000, or USD 106,800 a year, before Maps, Engagement, or implementation time.

One higher-edition add-on can cost more than the edition step that was supposed to be the decision. Get each add-on as its own line, with the edition it requires, before you accept a blended Enterprise total.

When the lower edition is the better renewal

Stay on Pro Suite, or on the legacy Professional agreement you already have, when the team does not need the additions the Sales FAQ attaches to Core (APIs, forecasting, opportunity scoring, conversation intelligence, and Agentforce) and does not need an add-on the menu still reserves for Enterprise and Unlimited. Salesforce's own line, quoted by Salesforce Ben's Professional Edition overview, calls Professional "a complete sales solution for any size team." For a single sales team that lives in accounts, opportunities, and standard reports, that description still matches the work.

Move up when a connector or a mail-merge style tool is the reason the org is sitting on an Enterprise trial. In a long-running r/salesforce thread on this upgrade, one admin put the gap in one sentence: "The biggest difference I've seen is really automation. Enterprise allows you to have workflows, apex code, and use the API." The same thread notes that automation does not run itself: "you will have to pay for a consultant which is not cheap (roughly $100 an hour depending on your needs)". The question those buyers were asking is still the right one: "is doubling my Salesforce expense worth it to keep this functionality alive?"

At current list, Pro Suite at USD 100 and Core at USD 195 are close to a doubling on the rate card. A 20-seat Core bill of USD 46,800 is just under double a Pro Suite bill of USD 24,000. Add one Enterprise-gated SKU and the yearly total moves past that. Hours sit on top of the subscription. At the rate cited in that thread, roughly USD 100 an hour, multiply that rate by the hour estimate from the person who will build the workflow before you sign the seats.

Salesforce Ben's pricing piece captures the mood on the buyer side: "So many times, Salesforce has overreached on pricing. Is this another one of those times?" The same piece quotes the pace problem: "There's a disconnect between the pace things are moving, and the pace organizations can adopt them". Patrick Stokes's line in that article, "drives us nuts too", is about the renames. List the feature you will use in the next 12 months. If it is already on Pro Suite, or on an add-on Pro Suite can buy, declining Core is a coherent choice.

How Dynamics 365 Sales prices the same seats

Microsoft's US Sales pricing page lists Dynamics 365 Sales Professional at USD 65 per user per month, Sales Enterprise at USD 105, and Sales Premium at USD 150, paid yearly, as of October 2026. The page says Enterprise includes Copilot in Dynamics 365, prebuilt agents such as Sales Close Agent, natural language insights, email and meeting assistance, and opportunity summaries. Sales Premium includes 1,000 Copilot Credits per license.

Some capabilities need extra licenses. Microsoft names Power Automate, Power Apps, and some Teams Copilot features. Relationship Sales pricing is variable and requires a 10-seat minimum. If the Salesforce feature you are chasing is flow automation, ask for the Power Automate license as its own line so the USD 105 seat is not doing silent extra work.

In Canada, the Dynamics 365 Sales pricing page lists CAD 88.20 for Professional, CAD 142.50 for Enterprise, and CAD 203.50 for Premium, per user per month, paid yearly, plus applicable tax. At 20 seats, Sales Enterprise in Canada is 20 times 142.50 times 12, or CAD 34,200 a year before tax. Sales Professional at 20 seats is 20 times 88.20 times 12, or CAD 21,168 a year before tax. Ask Salesforce for the CAD figure on your own agreement. Do not convert the US Salesforce list yourself and treat the result as an official Canadian price.

A 20-person team that needs forecasting and a copilot-style assistant can put Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise at USD 25,200 a year beside Salesforce Core at USD 46,800 and see a list gap of USD 21,600 before Salesforce add-ons. That gap is large enough to fund a migration assessment. Pipeline stages, email integration, and anything you have built in Apex still have to be shown on your data. Our Dynamics 365 Sales implementation work scopes that proof in phases: the sales process you run this quarter first, then the integrations.

When the real requirement is an external API

Odoo belongs in this comparison when the forcing feature is an outside system calling into the CRM, plus the rest of the business apps, and you are willing to leave Salesforce's edition ladder. Odoo's pricing page shows a Standard plan at USD 31.10 and USD 38.90 per user per month, and a Custom plan at USD 61.00 and USD 76.20 per user per month. The page says the discount applies for 12 months to the initial users ordered. Quote both numbers. A Light User is listed at USD 8.90 and needs an advisor quote to apply.

Standard is Odoo Online and all apps. Custom adds Odoo Studio, agentic AI, multi-company, external API, and the option of Odoo.sh or on-premise. Odoo.sh hosting is not included in that per-user price. Odoo defines an external API call as one that outside software initiates against Odoo. Calls that Odoo initiates, such as payment, shipping, or bank sync, are part of the Standard plan and are not the external-API feature.

Assume 20 full users on Custom. The page publishes both USD 61.00 and USD 76.20 per user per month, and the discount applies for 12 months to the initial users ordered. At 20 users, 20 times 61.00 times 12 is USD 14,640 a year and 20 times 76.20 times 12 is USD 18,288 a year, before hosting. Either published figure is under Salesforce Pro Suite at USD 24,000 and far under Core at USD 46,800. That is a license comparison only. Studio, multi-company, and the external API are the reasons to pick Custom. Compare those items to your Salesforce gaps one by one. If you only need Odoo to call a payment provider, Standard may be enough, and the external API line is the wrong reason to pay the higher pair.

If Salesforce, Dynamics 365, and Odoo are all still open, a CRM implementation scoped to one sales process will show which product covers the API, the forecast, and the handoff to finance without buying the top edition of each.

How to read a quote that still says Enterprise

Use this sequence on the renewal in front of you.

  1. Write down the edition name on the order form and the edition name on the public price page. If the order form says Enterprise and the public page says Core, ask which features and which price apply to you. Legacy customers were told their price stays the same. New packaging is what a new logo sees at USD 100 and USD 195.
  2. Name the single feature that fails on the lower edition. If you cannot name it, you are not ready to approve the USD 95 step. APIs, forecasting, opportunity scoring, and conversation intelligence are the additions Salesforce's own FAQ attaches to Core. An add-on such as Revenue Intelligence at USD 250 is a separate purchase, often still gated to Enterprise and Unlimited on the add-on page.
  3. Price that feature for 12 months at your seat count, then add builder hours. The r/salesforce discussion is explicit that the automation is the point of the higher edition and that someone has to build it. Use the hourly rate from that thread, roughly USD 100, times the builder's own hour estimate.
  4. Put Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise on the same row: USD 105 per user per month in the US, CAD 142.50 in Canada, paid yearly, with Power Automate and Power Apps called out if you need them. At 20 US seats that row is USD 25,200, next to Pro Suite at USD 24,000 and under Core at USD 46,800.
  5. If the forcing requirement is an outside system calling in, price Odoo Custom at both USD 61.00 and USD 76.20 per user per month and ask what hosting costs on top. Keep Standard at USD 31.10 and USD 38.90 in view when the call is outbound from Odoo only.
  6. Ask for sandbox access, record-type limits, and API allotments as written figures on the quote. Accept a demo on your own objects, with the daily or monthly request allotment written next to it.
  7. Split the signature. Seats, add-ons, and implementation hours should be separate lines so a later removal of Revenue Intelligence or Maps does not require reopening the whole edition.

Teams that answer yes to more than one forcing feature usually need the yearly total, not another feature matrix. Bring the quote, the seat count, and the one workflow that hurts. We will price the edition you are being asked to buy against the edition that covers that workflow.

Frequently asked questions

How does Sales Cloud pricing work?

Salesforce prices Sales Cloud as a per-user, per-month subscription. Most Salesforce products use annual contracts, and the subscription term can vary by product and by agreement. As of October 2026 the public US list shows Pro Suite at USD 100 per user per month and Core at USD 195, with Advanced at USD 395 and Max at USD 550.

How long are Salesforce contracts?

Salesforce says most of its products use annual contracts, while subscription terms vary. Read the term on your order form rather than assuming every add-on shares the seat contract. Most seat add-ons are priced per user per month and billed annually. Marketing Cloud Account Engagement starts at a monthly price for a contact band, and Partner Relationship Management is priced per member or per login.

Can I upgrade Salesforce at any time and add products later?

Salesforce says pricing and packaging can change and can vary by region and customer agreement, so the timing of an edition change lives on your contract. Add-ons such as Sales Engagement and Salesforce Maps can be bought on Pro Suite and Professional, while products such as Revenue Intelligence are listed for Enterprise and Unlimited. Ask for each new product as its own line, with the edition it requires.

Are there upfront costs or additional fees on Sales Cloud?

The public list is a subscription, not a one-time license fee. The bill still grows through add-ons billed annually, and through someone to build the automation. A buyer thread on this upgrade cites consultant help at roughly USD 100 an hour. Multiply that rate by the builder's own hour estimate, and put those hours on their own line so they are not buried in the seat price.

Does anyone still use Salesforce Professional edition?

Yes. Salesforce says existing customers keep legacy edition pricing, even though the October 2026 public Sales page lists Pro Suite and Core for new purchases and does not print the legacy dollar amounts. The Sales add-on page still names Professional next to Pro Suite, Enterprise, and Unlimited, which is a sign those contracts are still in market.

What are the main Sales Cloud plans in 2026?

The October 2026 US Sales page lists Free Suite, Starter Suite at USD 25, Pro Suite at USD 100, Core at USD 195, Advanced at USD 395, and Max at USD 550, all per user per month. Professional and Enterprise are legacy names. They still appear on the add-on menu and on older contracts, and Salesforce says that legacy price is unchanged.
