The first-year price applies to the users ordered at the start. In euros, Standard is €19.90 then €24.90 and Custom €35.90 then €44.90. Prices exclude tax.

What moves you to the Custom plan
Standard covers every app on Odoo Online. Any one of these needs Custom.
Odoo Studio
Installing Studio to add fields, screens or automations switches the database to Custom.
More than one company
A second company in the same database switches it to Custom. One App Free also allows several companies.
External API
Systems that read or write Odoo data through JSON-RPC or XML-RPC need Custom.
Custom or third-party modules
Odoo Online on Standard runs no custom code, so any module beyond the standard apps needs Custom.
Odoo.sh or your own servers
Both run on Custom. Odoo.sh hosting is billed on top of the license, and self-hosting is billed yearly only.
Costs the license figure leaves out
Budget for these before you compare quotes. Implementation is quoted after discovery, in the written scope for the first phase.
The first-year discount ends
Year-one prices apply to the users you order at the start. Later users and later years pay list price, and renewals can rise by up to 7% a year under Odoo’s subscription terms.
Credits for document scanning and AI
Vendor-bill scanning uses one credit per document, about €0.10 to €0.15 each in packs. AI features and SMS draw on prepaid credits too.
Payroll outside supported countries
Odoo’s payroll documentation lists localizations for the United States and Australia among others, but not the UK or Canada. Check payroll for your country before you plan on it.
Custom code upkeep
Odoo charges a monthly fee per 100 lines of custom code it maintains, quoted in writing. Partner-built modules need their own upgrade work each version.
IoT boxes and older versions
An IoT box costs $30 a month. Running a version older than the three most recent adds 25% to the yearly license.
Questions about Odoo pricing
How much does Odoo cost per user?
On yearly billing, Standard is $24.90 per user per month in the first year and $31.10 after that. Custom is $49.00, then $61.00. One App Free costs nothing for a single app with unlimited users.
Do I pay for each Odoo app?
No. Standard and Custom include every app for one price per user. The apps you choose change the implementation work, not the license.
Who counts as a paid user?
Anyone who creates, views or edits records in the back end, including an outside accountant. Customers and suppliers on the portal are free. Employees who only log time off, expenses or attendance can be light users at $8.90 a month.
When do I need the Custom plan?
When you install Studio, run more than one company in a database, connect systems through the external API, add custom or third-party modules, or host on Odoo.sh or your own servers.
Is Odoo Community enough?
Community is free to self-host but leaves out full Accounting, Studio, the mobile apps, version upgrades and Odoo support. Bank reconciliation, financial reports and localizations sit in Enterprise Accounting.
What does an Odoo implementation cost?
It depends on scope. Odoo sells Success Packs from 25 to 200 consultant hours, and partners usually charge $125 to $200 an hour. The calculator shows a planning range for four typical scopes; discovery turns it into a fixed price for the first phase.
Is Odoo cheaper than Business Central?
On licenses, usually yes: Business Central Essentials lists at $80 per user per month and Premium at $110. Total cost depends more on implementation scope than on the license, so compare both on the same first phase.
