CRM Canada: pricing in CAD and how to pick a partner
For 25 users, budget Microsoft's published Canadian list for Dynamics 365 Sales.
For 25 users, budget Microsoft's published Canadian list for Dynamics 365 Sales. As of October 2026, Sales Enterprise is CAD 142.50 per user per month on the Canada pricing page, paid yearly, plus applicable tax: CAD 42,750 before tax for one year and CAD 128,250 over three years if the list stays unchanged and every user stays on annual billing. Sales Professional is CAD 26,460 a year, and Sales Premium is CAD 61,050 a year. Implementation is a separate quote. Microsoft does not publish a Canadian services price beside those seats.
Add Ontario's 13 percent HST, using the CRA rate table, and the same Enterprise seats are CAD 48,307.50 in year one and CAD 144,922.50 over three years of licenses, if the list and the rate stay put and the supply is taxable in Ontario. Alberta at 5 percent GST is CAD 44,887.50 in year one on those seats. That tax is on the published license list only. Partner services, data work, and training sit on their own lines.
Odoo's public pricing page is in US dollars. A 25-user Standard subscription at the discounted yearly display price is USD 9,330 in the discount year, about CAD 13,292 at the Bank of Canada rate on 2 October 2026. That conversion is a planning figure for a budget meeting. Odoo bills from the US dollar list. The products also cover different ground: Odoo Standard is all apps on Odoo Online, while Sales Enterprise is the sales application.
What 25 Sales users cost in CAD
Assume 25 people, each on a full Sales license, billed annually, with the October 2026 Canada list held flat. The table excludes light users, the Relationship Sales bundle, and any partner markup. Tax columns assume the supply is taxable in that province. They are not a promise of the net amount after an input tax credit.
- Sales Professional (Per user / month: CAD 88.20 · Year 1 before tax: CAD 26,460 · Year 1 with Ontario 13% HST: CAD 29,899.80 · Year 1 with Alberta 5% GST: CAD 27,783.00 · Three years of seats before tax: CAD 79,380)
- Sales Enterprise (Per user / month: CAD 142.50 · Year 1 before tax: CAD 42,750 · Year 1 with Ontario 13% HST: CAD 48,307.50 · Year 1 with Alberta 5% GST: CAD 44,887.50 · Three years of seats before tax: CAD 128,250)
- Sales Premium (Per user / month: CAD 203.50 · Year 1 before tax: CAD 61,050 · Year 1 with Ontario 13% HST: CAD 68,986.50 · Year 1 with Alberta 5% GST: CAD 64,102.50 · Three years of seats before tax: CAD 183,150)
Seat prices are Microsoft's Canada list as of October 2026, paid yearly, plus applicable tax. HST and GST rates are the CRA calculator's provincial rates. The year-one HST and GST columns are the before-tax list multiplied by 1.13 or 1.05. Those figures are the gross amounts. The tax itself is the list multiplied by 0.13 or 0.05. Three-year columns are three identical license years. They do not include implementation.
Put the services invoice in year one only. For Enterprise in Ontario, three years of licenses with HST are CAD 144,922.50 if nothing moves, and the implementation check is added once. A team that pays a services invoice of a similar size to the US floor discussed later will spend more in year one than in year two, even though the seat list looks like the main number on a vendor page.
Microsoft also says these prices are informational and the checkout price can differ. Relationship Sales, which pairs Sales Enterprise with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, is listed as variable, needs a 10-seat minimum, and is priced by contacting a Dynamics 365 sales specialist. Leave it out of this 25-user table until a specialist sends a number.
If your mix is not 25 full users, run the roles before you copy the table. A coordinator who only reads records should not be priced as Enterprise by habit.
What Professional, Enterprise, and Premium include
Microsoft Learn, updated 22 June 2026 and refreshed 22 September 2026, describes Sales Professional as core sales automation. Sales Enterprise is that automation plus contextual insights and advanced customization. Sales Premium is Enterprise plus sales accelerator, relationship intelligence, and predictive scoring.
The Canada pricing page adds product detail to those labels. Enterprise includes Copilot in Dynamics 365 and lists capabilities such as the Sales Close Agent, natural language insights, email and meeting assistance, and opportunity summaries. Premium includes everything in Enterprise plus 1,000 Copilot Credits, Sales Insights, recommended actions, and data enrichment. For a single sales team that needs pipeline, quotes, and forecasting, Enterprise is the plan we usually walk through first. Professional is the lower list when the work is straightforward sales automation and you have confirmed, on your own processes, that you will not need the deeper customization Enterprise is sold for. Premium is a large step: CAD 18,300 more per year than Enterprise for these 25 users, before tax (CAD 61,050 minus CAD 42,750).
Power Automate and Power Apps use can require additional licenses. The Learn overview says that, and it matches footnotes on the pricing page. If a demo depends on a custom app or a flow that reaches outside Sales, ask for those licenses as their own lines. A seat total that ignores them will not match the first invoice.
Checkout can also differ from the informational list. When you compare a Dynamics 365 Sales proposal with this table, ask which SKU is quoted and whether the unit price is the Canada list or a licensing partner's price. A CAD 10 gap per user is CAD 3,000 a year at 25 users, and CAD 9,000 over three flat years.
Why a US dollar list is the wrong Canadian bill
The US Dynamics 365 Sales page lists Professional at USD 65, Enterprise at USD 105, and Premium at USD 150, each per user per month, paid yearly. It does not print "plus applicable tax" the way the Canada page does. Dividing the Canada lists by those US lists gives about 1.357 (88.20 / 65, 142.50 / 105, and 203.50 / 150). That ratio is Microsoft's published pair of lists. The Bank of Canada spot rate is a separate number.
The Bank of Canada daily average for the US dollar was 1.4246 Canadian dollars on 2 October 2026 and 1.4243 on 1 October 2026. Those rates are indicative averages. A commercial card rate can differ. Converting the US Enterprise list at 1.4246 produces about CAD 149.58 per user per month, roughly 5 percent above Microsoft's Canada list of CAD 142.50. On 25 users that gap is about CAD 2,124 a year before tax (CAD 149.58 minus CAD 142.50, times 25, times 12). A page that still converts US lists at 1.36 is using a third number. One July 2026 comparison says "All prices are on the vendor list in USD unless noted; approximate CAD conversions use 1 USD ≈ 1.36 CAD." For Dynamics 365 Sales, start from the Canada page instead.
Other vendors still leave you in US dollars on a Canada URL. The Salesforce Canada Sales Cloud page lists Free Suite at USD 0, Starter Suite at USD 25, Pro Suite at USD 100, and Core at USD 195 per user per month, and the on-page currency list is USD, AUD, GBP, EUR, JPY, and SEK. CAD is not offered there. The page says the figures are informational and can change. A 25-user Pro Suite at that US list is USD 30,000 a year before any tax or services (25 times USD 100 times 12). Turning that into a Canadian budget means a dated exchange rate plus a tax answer, the same two steps Odoo requires below.
What 25 users cost on Odoo
Odoo's pricing page is in US dollars. As of October 2026, Standard shows USD 31.10 per user per month on the discounted yearly figure and USD 38.90 on the higher figure, for all apps on Odoo Online. Custom shows USD 61.00 discounted yearly and USD 76.20 on the higher figure. Custom adds Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, or on-premise, Studio, multi-company, and an external API. A footnote says the discount is valid for 12 months for the initial users ordered. Odoo.sh hosting is not included. A light user is listed at USD 8.90, and Odoo says a quote is issued after an advisor reviews requirements.
Assume 25 full users and the discounted yearly display price for the first 12 months. Standard is USD 9,330 in that year. Custom is USD 18,300. At 1.4246, those are about CAD 13,292 and CAD 26,070. If the higher Standard figure of USD 38.90 applied for a full year, the bill would be USD 11,670, about CAD 16,625 at the same rate. If the higher Custom figure of USD 76.20 applied for a full year, the bill would be USD 22,860, about CAD 32,566. The pricing page does not name either higher figure as the year-two invoice. Before you add years two and three, ask Odoo which unit price renews. A three-year Odoo total that repeats the discount year three times will be light if the discount ends.
- Standard (Discount year, 25 users: USD 9,330 · About CAD at 1.4246: CAD 13,292 · If the higher displayed rate applied for a full year: USD 11,670, about CAD 16,625)
- Custom (Discount year, 25 users: USD 18,300 · About CAD at 1.4246: CAD 26,070 · If the higher displayed rate applied for a full year: USD 22,860, about CAD 32,566)
USD figures are Odoo's pricing page as of October 2026. CAD figures use the 2 October 2026 Bank of Canada average. Odoo invoices in US dollars. Hosting on Odoo.sh, in-app credits, and implementation are extra.
Subscription plans include hosting, maintenance, and unlimited email support on weekdays in English, French, Spanish, or Dutch, and upgrades are included. Odoo leaves these out of the subscription price: Odoo.sh hosting for custom developments, implementation, in-app credits (SMS, contact auto-complete, lead generation, and AI bill and expense scanning), and maintenance of custom code. Hosting on Odoo Online is described as free with unmetered storage up to 100 GB, subject to acceptable use. French weekday support matters for many Canadian teams. It does not, by itself, mean your screens, templates, and training will be bilingual. Put that in the statement of work if you need it.
Odoo 19's Canada localization installs a Canadian chart of accounts, accounting reports, and provincial fiscal positions for every province and territory, plus International. Tax follows the province of delivery when the vendor delivers. The same documentation covers Canadian cheque layouts and CPA005 EFT batch payments. That package is accounting localization. CRM hosting location sits outside that documentation. If you are choosing Odoo because finance and CRM would share one database, have the fiscal positions shown on a sample invoice for your provinces. If you only need sales pipeline, you are paying for a wider suite than Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, at a much lower seat line during the discount year, and you still need an implementation line.
Companies under 50 employees usually buy implementation from Odoo through Success Packs. Companies over 50 employees usually use a partner. Companies over 250 employees should contact Odoo. A 25-person firm sits in the Success Pack guidance. You can still hire a partner. The pricing FAQ says partners usually charge per day of consulting or development and does not publish a day rate. For a larger sales team, the cost shape changes again: our guide to CRM implementation cost for a 50-user team is the place to scale hours. This 25-user seat table stops at the smaller team.
What GST and HST add to the license bill
The rate depends on the type of supply, the place of supply, and who the customer is. CRA's table, current as of the page's April 2025 Nova Scotia change, is the statutory map. It is not a ruling on your invoice.
- Ontario: 13% HST
- Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon: 5% GST only
- British Columbia: 5% GST plus 7% PST
- Manitoba: 5% GST plus 7% PST
- Saskatchewan: 5% GST plus 6% PST
- Quebec: 5% GST plus 9.975% provincial tax
- New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island: 15% HST
- Nova Scotia: 14% HST from 1 April 2025
Source: CRA GST/HST calculator, as of October 2026. The Quebec 9.975 percent figure is that calculator's provincial column.
On Enterprise seats of CAD 42,750, Ontario HST is CAD 5,557.50 and the gross is CAD 48,307.50. Alberta GST is CAD 2,137.50 and the gross is CAD 44,887.50. The same list in a 15 percent HST province is CAD 49,162.50 (CAD 42,750 times 1.15). Nova Scotia at 14 percent is CAD 48,735. British Columbia's combined 12 percent is CAD 47,880. Quebec's combined 14.975 percent is about CAD 49,151.81. Use these only as a planning band, and only if the supply is taxable there. A registered business may be able to claim an input tax credit. This page does not calculate a net-of-tax cost. Ask your accountant with the vendor's invoice in hand.
Since 1 July 2021, the Excise Tax Act can require non-resident vendors and non-resident digital platform operators that sell taxable digital products or services to Canadian consumers, and to Canadian entities that are not registered under the normal GST/HST regime, to register and collect GST/HST. Whether your bill comes from Microsoft Canada, a licensing partner, or a non-resident is a question for the quote. The Canada price page already adds applicable tax. A Canadian software roundup notes that a CRM subscription is a recurring software expense and eventually shows up in the books next to every other GST/HST-taxable purchase (11 Best CRM Systems for Businesses in Canada).
Tax on partner services is a second invoice. A fixed fee quoted "plus tax" in Ontario is 13 percent more at the till than the number in the proposal headline. When you stack year three, keep three license years on one line and the services invoice, taxed once, on another. Mixing them makes a cheap seat plan look expensive, or a heavy implementation look like a Microsoft price rise.
What implementation adds in year one
Odoo publishes a Success Pack ladder for new customers, with a 15 percent first-pack discount. As of October 2026 the packs are USD 493 (Starter, 4 hours), USD 3,060 (Basic, 25 hours), USD 5,950 (Standard, 50 hours), USD 10,625 (Custom, 100 hours), and USD 21,250 (Pro, 200 hours). Returning-customer prices are USD 580, USD 3,600, USD 7,000, USD 12,500, and USD 25,000. Onsite consulting travel time and travel expenses are billed separately. Extra monthly charges apply for maintenance of extra modules or lines of code. The page says 80 percent of projects within the estimator's scope go to production in 200 hours or less.
- Starter (Hours: 4 · New customer: USD 493 · About CAD at 1.4246: CAD 702)
- Basic (Hours: 25 · New customer: USD 3,060 · About CAD at 1.4246: CAD 4,359)
- Standard (Hours: 50 · New customer: USD 5,950 · About CAD at 1.4246: CAD 8,476)
- Custom (Hours: 100 · New customer: USD 10,625 · About CAD at 1.4246: CAD 15,136)
- Pro (Hours: 200 · New customer: USD 21,250 · About CAD at 1.4246: CAD 30,273)
Pack prices are Odoo Success Packs as of October 2026. CAD amounts are that USD price times 1.4246, rounded to the nearest dollar. Odoo invoices in US dollars. Travel is extra.
The published new-customer packs run from 4 to 200 hours at the listed USD prices. Put a narrow scope through Odoo's estimator. Custom modules, Odoo.sh, multi-company, or onsite work sit outside the estimator line, so the pack price is not a ceiling.
For Dynamics 365, the published services floor in this comparison comes from a US firm. Cargas wrote on 18 March 2026 that implementation of the Sales, Customer Insights, or Customer Service module starts at USD 25,000, and that its customers' annual subscriptions run about USD 5,000 to USD 35,000. At 1.4246, USD 25,000 is about CAD 35,615. A Canadian bidder can price the same module differently. Cargas also lists a Team Member license at USD 8 per user per month. Keep that figure out of this Canadian scenario. The October 2026 Canada Sales page prices Professional, Enterprise, and Premium. Use Cargas as a signal that services start in the tens of thousands of US dollars for a module implementation, then replace it with hours from a bidder who will do your work.
Buyers describe the same gap in their own words. One asks for "ballpark estimates for a Dynamics 365 Sales Professional implementation for a small business with 10 users" with minimal customization. Another writes "we find the licensing pricing reasonable, however the partner we found in our country gave us an implementation quote of $30,000.00 USD". A third says "The real costs you should think about are one time/ongoing implementation and the cost of failure." One buyer is requesting a 10-user ballpark and states no price. One was quoted USD 30,000 for implementation while calling the licenses reasonable. One says the costs to plan for are implementation and the cost of failure. A seat table without that services line will mislead a budget meeting.
For 10 users on Sales Professional, the Canada list is CAD 10,584 before tax for a year (10 times CAD 88.20 times 12). Minimal customization does not mean a zero services invoice. Data import, security roles, email, and training still take hours. Ask each bidder to price data migration as its own line, with a record count, so one minimal quote can be compared with another.
People looking for an hourly number ask "What is the rough going rate hourly for consulting services". In that thread a comment says "talent.com shows the average salary in Canada for a Dynamics 365 developer as $53 CAD per hour (but on salary so not the same as freelancing of course)". A salary average covers employee pay. Project management, testing, and the margin in a fixed fee sit outside that average. The useful request is the rate that applies after the fixed fee is used up, in writing, before you sign.
If finance is in the same program as CRM, price that product on its own Canadian list. Business Central pricing in CAD is a separate seat decision from Sales Professional, Enterprise, or Premium.
How to compare partner quotes in Canada
Two quotes fail to match for ordinary reasons. One prices Sales Professional and the other prices Enterprise. One uses Microsoft's Canada list and the other adds a licensing margin. One treats tax as extra and the other folds a guessed rate into the total. One includes four weeks of go-live support and the other stops at training. None of that is visible in a single bottom line.
Send every bidder the same grid and score the response line by line.
- Name the SKU for each person: Professional, Enterprise, or Premium, and how many users of each. Ask them to show the unit price next to the Canada list.
- State whether that unit price is Microsoft's CAD list or a price from a licensing partner, and whether tax is extra. Ask which legal entity invoices the licenses.
- Split hours by named roles: functional consultant, developer, data lead, trainer, project manager. A lump sum with no names cannot be compared with a pack that has hours on it.
- State environments (how many), the record counts for accounts, contacts, and open opportunities, and whether history is in scope. History is where hours disappear.
- State training days, who attends, and how many weeks of go-live support are included. Ask for the hourly rate after that support ends.
- Define a change request: what counts as inside the fixed fee, and what is billed later. Ask for an example of a small tweak that stays inside the fee.
- For Dynamics 365, ask who owns the Dataverse environments and whether FastTrack is in scope. FastTrack for Dynamics 365 includes Success by Design. Ask which tasks you still pay the partner to perform. Put the answer in the proposal.
- For Odoo, ask whether the work is a named Success Pack or a partner day rate, whether Odoo.sh is required, and who maintains custom code after go-live, at what monthly charge.
- If you operate in English and French, ask whether screens, templates, and training in both languages are included or priced apart.
- Ask for two references of similar headcount and a phase plan that says what is usable at the end of phase one.
Score named people, hours, references, a phase plan, and who owns the configuration and code. A tier badge leaves those lines blank. When a quote arrives as one number, the next step is a scoped comparison, which is the work behind hiring a CRM consultant and behind our CRM implementation engagements. We price Dynamics 365 Sales and Odoo against the same kind of grid: seats, tax assumptions, import volume, and the hours after the fixed fee.
Where Flectic fits
The grid above sets Dynamics 365 Sales beside Odoo. Flectic implements both. We are an independent consultancy, we earn no vendor quota on either platform, and we hold no certification from either vendor. That lets us say in writing which one fits how your team sells, then build it in phases.
Choose Flectic if
- You run a sales team of 20 to 100 people in the US or Canada and are still choosing between Dynamics 365 Sales and Odoo.
- You want licenses, tax, data import and training on separate lines, with a fixed-price first phase that delivers a working pipeline before you commit the full budget.
- You want one senior consultant from discovery to launch.
Look elsewhere if
- You need a Microsoft-certified partner.
- You have already chosen Salesforce or HubSpot, because Flectic implements Dynamics 365 and Odoo.
- You are above about 100 users or sell across several countries.
Our Dynamics 365 Sales implementation page shows how the first phase is scoped and priced.
What to put on the quote grid
Use one page for the 25-user case. Fill Microsoft from the Canada list. Fill Odoo from the USD page plus a dated Bank of Canada rate. Leave partner cells blank until a proposal names them.
- Year-1 seats (Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, this scenario: CAD 42,750 before tax · Odoo, this scenario: USD 9,330 Standard discount year, or USD 18,300 Custom, then your FX)
- Tax on seats (Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, this scenario: Your province, if the supply is taxable · Odoo, this scenario: Ask how the USD invoice is taxed)
- Year-2 and year-3 seats (Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, this scenario: Same list only if Microsoft does not change it · Odoo, this scenario: Renewal price in writing after month 12)
- Implementation (Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, this scenario: Bidder hours. One US firm starts at USD 25,000 · Odoo, this scenario: A named Success Pack, or partner days)
- Travel and custom-code care (Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, this scenario: Usually inside a partner quote if you require them · Odoo, this scenario: Travel extra; custom maintenance can be monthly)
- Extra platform fees (Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, this scenario: Power Apps or Power Automate if the design needs them · Odoo, this scenario: Odoo.sh, in-app credits)
- Go-live support (Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, this scenario: Weeks and the rate after that · Odoo, this scenario: Hours left in the pack, then the next rate)
A year-three view for Enterprise in Ontario is three times CAD 48,307.50, which is CAD 144,922.50 of licenses with HST, plus one implementation invoice. The matching Odoo view is the discount year, plus two renewal years at a price you have in writing, plus one pack or one partner project. If those two pictures are close on seats and far apart on hours, the gap is scope: data, training, and what happens after go-live.
Bring the completed grid to a working session. We will mark which roles can stay on a lower plan, which province's rate belongs on the license invoice, and which phase can go live before the rest of the wish list.
How Flectic can help
Flectic sets up Dynamics 365 Sales for sales teams of 20 to 100 people in the US and Canada, and recommends Odoo instead when it suits the team better. Either way you get the recommendation in writing before any build starts.
Send us the quotes you hold and the 25-user grid from this page. Flectic marks which roles can stay on a lower plan, which province's tax belongs on the license invoice and which lines are services. A fixed-price first phase delivers a working pipeline before you commit the full budget, and you can read the scope on the Dynamics 365 Sales implementation page.

Frequently asked questions
What does a Dynamics 365 Sales Professional implementation cost for 10 users with minimal customization?
Ten Sales Professional users are CAD 10,584 before tax for one year at the October 2026 Canada list of CAD 88.20 per user per month, paid yearly. Minimal customization still needs hours for security, email, a data import, and training. Ask each bidder to price the import as its own line with a record count. A US partner's module floor of USD 25,000 is a signal from one firm, not a Canadian quote for a 10-user project.
What is the rough going rate hourly for Dynamics 365 consulting in Canada?
There is no Canadian day rate you can copy from a public price card into a budget. A salary average for a Dynamics 365 developer describes employee pay. A consulting rate also has to cover project management, testing, and the margin inside a fixed fee. Ask each bidder for the hourly rate that applies after the fixed fee is used up, and for which roles that rate covers. Compare those rates only after the hours and the scope match.
Which GST, HST, PST, or provincial rate applies to the license and to the partner invoice?
The rate depends on the type of supply, the place of supply, and who the customer is. CRA lists Ontario at 13 percent HST, Alberta and the territories at 5 percent GST, and other provinces as a GST plus PST combination or a 14 or 15 percent HST. The license invoice and the partner invoice can be taxed separately. Confirm both with the supplier, and ask your accountant about an input tax credit. A planning sheet should not treat a gross number as your net cost.
Should a company under 50 people buy an Odoo Success Pack or hire a Canadian partner?
Odoo says companies under 50 employees usually buy implementation through Success Packs, while companies over 50 usually use a partner. Packs for new customers run from 4 hours to 200 hours at published US dollar prices, with travel billed separately. A partner can still be the right call when you need onsite work, custom modules, or a day rate you can compare with a Dynamics quote. Get the pack contents and the partner hours on the same grid before you choose.
Does Odoo bill in CAD, and what happens to the yearly discount after 12 months?
The public pricing page is in US dollars, so a Canadian dollar figure converted at a Bank of Canada rate is not an Odoo invoice. The discount is valid for 12 months for the initial users ordered. The page also shows higher per-user figures beside the discounted ones and does not label either figure as the renewal invoice. Ask Odoo which unit price applies in year two before you extend a three-year budget.
Are Dynamics 365 Sales prices on the US site the bill a Canadian company pays?
The US page is a different price list. It shows Professional, Enterprise, and Premium at USD 65, USD 105, and USD 150 per user per month, paid yearly. The Canada page lists CAD 88.20, CAD 142.50, and CAD 203.50, plus applicable tax. Those Canadian amounts are about 1.357 times the US list, which is lower than converting the US list at the October 2026 spot rate. Use the Canada page, then confirm checkout, because Microsoft says the informational list can differ from the price you are charged.
Where should a Canadian company start when choosing a Dynamics 365 implementation partner?
Start with a one-page grid: the Sales SKU, whether the unit price is the Canada list, whether tax is extra, named roles and hours, record counts, training, go-live weeks, and the rate after the fixed fee. Ask who owns the environments and whether FastTrack work is included. References should be companies of a similar size. A short scoping call is the right moment to score those answers against your year-one and year-three budget.
