Field Service Software for a Small Business: 5 to 15 Technicians
For a crew of 5 to 15 technicians, standalone plans with published prices run from USD 60 at Kickserv to USD 529 at Jobber Plus, and most sit between USD 65 and USD 399.
For a crew of 5 to 15 technicians, standalone plans with published prices run from USD 60 at Kickserv to USD 529 at Jobber Plus, and most sit between USD 65 and USD 399. Service Fusion Plus holds at USD 325 per month with unlimited users. Dynamics 365 Field Service lists at USD 105 per user per month paid yearly, which is USD 6,300 per year at 5 users and USD 18,900 per year at 15 users in licenses alone, before Resource Scheduling Optimization and before implementation. Odoo runs the first app free for unlimited users until a second app is installed.
Prices are published US list figures as of October 2026. A year one bill has three lines: subscription, card fees and setup. This page prices 5, 10, and 15 logins and marks the point where scheduling, parts and billing split across tools.
What field service software costs at 5, 10 and 15 logins
Count logins before plans, because vendors count everyone. Jobber defines a user as anyone who accesses the account, in the office or in the field (Jobber pricing). A crew of 10 technicians with a dispatcher and an office manager is 12 logins, and the bands below are published that way so you can place your own count.
Published monthly list prices in USD, annual billing where offered, as of October 2026:
- Jobber Connect (5 users: USD 149 · 10 users: USD 229 · 15 users: USD 299 · Pricing basis: Per month, billed annually, users included in band)
- Jobber Grow (5 users: USD 229 · 10 users: USD 299 · 15 users: USD 399 · Pricing basis: Per month, billed annually)
- Service Fusion Plus (5 users: USD 325 · 10 users: USD 325 · 15 users: USD 325 · Pricing basis: Per month, unlimited users, annual paid as one upfront payment)
- Kickserv (5 users: USD 60, Start · 10 users: USD 119, Run · 15 users: USD 199, Scale (20 users) · Pricing basis: Per month, whole plans at 5, 10 and 20 users)
- Field Ascend Pro (5 users: USD 65 · 10 users: USD 130 · 15 users: USD 195 · Pricing basis: Per month, USD 13 per user, 3 user minimum)
- Dynamics 365 Field Service (5 users: USD 525 · 10 users: USD 1,050 · 15 users: USD 1,575 · Pricing basis: Per month, USD 105 per user paid yearly)
- Odoo, first app free (5 users: USD 0 · 10 users: USD 0 · 15 users: USD 0 · Pricing basis: Unlimited users until a second app is installed)
Those figures come from the Jobber pricing page, the Service Fusion pricing page, Kickserv, Field Ascend, Microsoft and Odoo, all as of October 2026. Microsoft adds a caveat to carry through any Dynamics budget: its listed prices are informational and can shift with currency, country and regional factors, and the actual price appears at checkout (Microsoft Field Service pricing).
Work the math at 12 logins. Jobber Connect covers 10 included users at USD 229 per month and prices each extra login at USD 29 (Jobber pricing), so 12 logins run USD 287 per month and USD 3,444 per year. Service Fusion Plus prices the same 12 people at USD 325 per month, USD 3,900 per year, and the bill stays flat as the crew grows. Field Ascend lands at USD 156 per month, USD 1,872 per year, at its USD 13 rate. Kickserv sells whole plans at 5, 10 and 20 users, so ask the company in writing where 12 logins land. Dynamics 365 Field Service at USD 105 per user per month paid yearly is USD 15,120 per year for 12 users, and that line covers licenses alone. Odoo's single free app carries unlimited users on Odoo Online until additional applications are installed (Odoo pricing).
License math sets the subscription. The feature list decides whether the tool holds, and that is where crews this size get sold more than they need.
The features a crew of 5 to 15 uses daily
Five capabilities carry a crew this size: a schedule the whole office can see, a mobile job screen that takes photos and signatures, a quote that becomes an invoice without re-typing, parts recorded on the job, and accounting that receives the result. Simpro's 2026 roundup of the category describes the same baseline for small teams: scheduling, mobile access, customer history, quote to invoice, payments and reporting (Simpro). Microsoft documents the same span for Dynamics 365 Field Service: work orders, a schedule board, a mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows with offline download, asset history, agreements that generate preventive maintenance work orders, inventory and truck stock, billing from products and services, and time tracking (Microsoft Learn).
Where each need sits on published plans, as of October 2026:
- Schedule and dispatch: Included from the entry tier on Service Fusion Starter and Field Ascend Pro; Kickserv's published Start list does not name scheduling or dispatch, and dispatch mapping arrives on Run
- Mobile job with photos and signature: Odoo's mobile worksheet carries spare part tracking, signatures and timesheets; Dynamics 365 Field Service ships a mobile app with offline download
- Quote to invoice: Service Fusion Starter includes estimates and invoicing; Jobber Connect adds automated quote and invoice follow ups
- Parts and truck stock: Service Fusion holds inventory on Plus; Workiz holds inventory and purchase orders on Ultimate; Dynamics 365 Field Service includes inventory and truck stock
- Accounting sync: Jobber Connect adds QuickBooks Online sync; Kickserv Start includes QuickBooks Online; Workiz includes it from Standard

Four capabilities can wait on a crew of this size: connected IoT devices, schedule optimization add-ons, multi-company structures, and deep pricebook builds. Revisit them when maintenance agreements or a parts warehouse enter the picture. Check tier placement before you assume a capability exists, because the entry tier in an advertisement often lacks the pieces that carry parts and costing: Service Fusion holds inventory and job costing on Plus (Service Fusion pricing), Workiz holds inventory, flat rate pricing, purchase orders and equipment tracking on Ultimate (Workiz pricing), and Jobber holds job costing on Grow (Jobber pricing).
Adoption gets decided in the truck. One owner in a field service community put it plainly: "If it’s slow or confusing in the field, it doesn’t stick" (Reddit). Run two real jobs through the mobile app on a technician's own phone before you sign, and make one of them a parts job.
Customer history is a further capability, and one the office has to be able to search: repeat commercial customers expect you to know their sites, equipment and last visit. Our CRM services cover the customer and site records that feed dispatch and invoicing.
When scheduling, parts and billing split across tools
The move off spreadsheets starts with symptoms: a missed appointment traced back to a text message, an invoice that waits on a photo of a paper ticket, a parts run nobody can match to a job. Field Ascend's small business guide puts the trigger this way: "Move away from spreadsheets when scheduling changes are missed, job notes are hard to find, invoices are delayed, or only one person knows the current status of the work" (Field Ascend).
The deeper signal is structural. Invoicing lives in QuickBooks, truck stock lives in a spreadsheet, the schedule lives on a whiteboard, and one commercial customer accumulates sites, equipment and recurring agreements across all three. An owner in the same community named it directly: "The biggest issue wasn’t features, it was information being spread across too many tools" (Reddit).
When two of those sentences describe your week, price the ERP-connected options below before you sign a long standalone term, because replacing a tool in year two costs more than phasing the first one properly.
The four standalone tools with published prices
Four tools put full dollar tables on their pricing pages for a crew of this size, and the details that matter sit under the monthly number.
Jobber
Jobber sells Core, Connect, Grow and Plus. Core is priced as a 1 user plan at USD 29 per month billed annually, USD 39 on a one year monthly commitment, or USD 49 month to month, and larger Core team sizes show "Let's chat" in place of a price (Jobber pricing). Extra users cost USD 29 per month on the published plans. Connect, the tier where QuickBooks Online sync, automated reminders, checklists, time and expenses and quote follow ups appear, runs USD 149 per month at 5 included users on annual billing and USD 299 at 15. Grow adds job costing, two way texting, automatic time tracking and workflow automations at USD 229 to USD 399 across those bands. Plus starts at USD 399 per month including 5 users and reaches USD 529 at 15, all on annual billing. The 14 day trial runs on the Grow plan and needs no card. Card processing costs 2.9 percent plus USD 0.30, Tap to Pay runs 2.7 percent plus USD 0.30, and ACH payments run 1 percent in the US, with two way texting listed for the US, Canada and the UK (Jobber pricing).
A Jobber customer on the pricing page describes the after hours cost of manual admin: "Before Jobber, I was doing all these admin-focused tasks after-hours when I could have been spending time with my family" (Jobber pricing).
Service Fusion
Service Fusion includes unlimited users on every plan (Service Fusion pricing). Starter lists at USD 208 per month on annual billing, paid as one upfront payment and described as 15 percent off, or USD 245 month to month, and it carries scheduling, dispatch, estimates, jobs, invoicing, payments, QuickBooks, reporting and text alerts. Inventory and job costing sit on Plus, at USD 325 annual or USD 382 monthly. Pro, at USD 533 annual or USD 627 monthly, adds the customer portal, eSign, custom documents and progress or recurring invoicing. GPS fleet tracking and ServiceCall.ai are add-ons at every tier. Onboarding and support come with the plan: the page describes personalized onboarding and unlimited email, phone and chat support, and the company says more than 7,000 service businesses use it.
Kickserv
Kickserv prices whole plans: Start at USD 60 per month for 5 users, Run at USD 119 for 10, and Scale at USD 199 for 20 (Kickserv pricing). The page states 20 percent off an annual subscription and leaves the discounted amounts unprinted, so ask for the annual figure in writing. Start includes QuickBooks Online, reminders, time and expense tracking and more than 20 reports. Run adds dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins, custom fields and custom reports, with QuickBooks Desktop integration offered at USD 50 per month. A 30 day trial is available, and the Kickback program trims a further 5 percent off monthly fees once card volume passes USD 1,000 on Start, USD 2,000 on Run or USD 3,000 on Scale.
Field Ascend
Field Ascend publishes the simplest table in the set: USD 13 per user per month with a 3 user minimum at USD 39 per month, monthly billing, and setup at no charge (Field Ascend pricing). The Pro plan carries the full feature set on one tier: scheduling, dispatch, work orders, technician and admin apps, preventive maintenance, a customer portal, quotes, invoices and reports. The 30 day trial requires a card and bills only if you miss the cancellation. The vendor's own small business page multiplies the rate to USD 65 per month at 5 users and USD 195 at 15 (Field Ascend small business page), which matches the arithmetic in the table above.
The vendors that make you call for a price
Four tools that fill small business roundups hold their dollar figures behind a sales call, and their tier splits matter as much as the number they eventually quote:
- ServiceTitan prices per technician and marks Starter, Essentials and The Works as "Request Pricing" (ServiceTitan pricing). Starter covers dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing and pricebook, Essentials adds mobile estimates and payroll, and The Works adds advanced reporting, commission tracking and memberships.
- FieldPulse sells seats as custom-quoted sets for the contract term, and its FAQ tells buyers to treat prices from review sites with caution (FieldPulse pricing), so collect the quote from the vendor.
- Workiz marks Standard, Pro and Ultimate as "Request Pricing" (Workiz pricing), holds inventory, flat rate pricing, purchase orders, equipment tracking, service plans, checklists and multi day jobs on Ultimate, and sells card readers separately with prices exclusive of sales tax.
- Simpro marks its base plan "Request Pricing" (Simpro pricing); quoting, field and contractor scheduling, inventory and purchasing, invoicing and accounting integrations with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and MYOB sit in the base, and GPS, SMS and digital forms are add-ons.
Housecall Pro's pricing page title advertises plans from USD 59 per month with a 14 day trial (Housecall Pro pricing); ask for the tier sheet with included user counts in writing before it enters your comparison.
These tools can still fit a crew. Treat their year one cost as a number to collect: a written quote at your login count, with the tier named for each need in the feature table above.
When an ERP-connected system earns its keep
Two conditions push a crew past standalone tools: commercial customers who run many sites on recurring agreements, or invoicing, truck stock and the schedule living in separate systems. The fix at that point is a subscription where field service, inventory and accounting share data, and two platforms price that credibly for a crew this size.
Odoo
Odoo lets a crew start free. Field Service can be the one free app, with unlimited users, hosting and support included, until additional applications are installed (Odoo Field Service). The app covers Gantt, calendar and map planning, a mobile worksheet with spare part tracking, signatures and timesheets, and invoicing from the job (Odoo Field Service). Before you build on the free plan, have Odoo or your implementation partner show, on your own app list, which combinations keep the database inside it (Odoo pricing).
Standard, the all apps plan on Odoo Online, shows USD 24.90, USD 31.10 and USD 38.90 per user per month beside a yearly and monthly toggle, with a note that the discount runs for 12 months on the initial users ordered (Odoo pricing). Custom, at USD 49.00, USD 61.00 or USD 76.20 per user per month, adds Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting, Studio, multi-company support and the external API, with Odoo.sh hosting billed separately. At 12 logins, those three figures work out to USD 298.80, USD 373.20 and USD 466.80 per month, so have the quote name which published figure applies before you hold it against anything else. Light User seats at USD 8.90 cover Field Services, My Planning and barcode inventory work among a limited app set, and Odoo sells them through an advisor meeting and a custom quote (Odoo pricing).
Implementation is a separate purchase. Odoo excludes it from the subscription and directs companies under 50 employees to Success Packs: USD 493 for a 4 hour Starter pack, USD 3,060 for 25 hours, USD 5,950 for 50 hours, USD 10,625 for 100 hours and USD 21,250 for 200 hours for new customers, with the first pack 15 percent off and returning customer prices running USD 580 to USD 25,000 (Odoo Success Packs). Odoo's page claims a 98 percent implementation success rate with a pack against 65 percent without; that figure is the vendor's. For a crew adding scheduling, inventory and invoicing together, price the 25 and 50 hour packs against a partner quote before you choose. We implement Odoo for service companies across the same span: our Odoo solutions page shows the phases, and our guide to Odoo Field Service pricing works the plan math line by line.
Dynamics 365 Field Service
Dynamics 365 Field Service licenses at USD 105 per user per month paid yearly, and a Contractor license at USD 50 per user per month covers assigning and managing external frontline technicians, useful when subcontractors absorb overflow (Microsoft Field Service pricing). Resource Scheduling Optimization, the engine that assigns jobs automatically, adds USD 30 per resource per month on a single tenant, and a crew of 5 to 15 can dispatch by hand from the schedule board and revisit it in year two. The pricing page publishes no minimum seat count, so the license mix for your roles is the number to settle in writing with whoever quotes the project.
The capabilities Microsoft documents map onto the five needs directly: work orders, a schedule board, a mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows with offline download, asset history, agreements that generate preventive maintenance work orders, inventory and truck stock, billing from products and services, and time tracking (Microsoft Learn). Where that license decision lands against your roles, our field service implementation page shows how we phase the choices.
Business Central, and where service management sits
Some crews meet this decision from the accounting side. Business Central Essentials licenses at USD 80 per user per month paid yearly and Premium at USD 110 (Business Central pricing). The service management module, which schedules service calls, carries service orders and repair parts, assigns personnel by skill and availability, and handles service estimates, invoices, contracts and route maps, is available only in the Premium experience (Microsoft Learn). Team Member seats at USD 8 per user per month give read, approve and limited create access to staff who only touch records (Business Central pricing).
The arithmetic decides the shape. An office user who needs service orders pays USD 30 more per month on Premium over Essentials, while a technician who only needs the field tool sits on Field Service at USD 105 with no ERP seat behind it. Map the roles before any quote, and make each bidder show the mix; the license calculator above prices any combination.
What year one costs once card fees and setup join the bill
On this residential book, card fees run about 4.5 times the Jobber Grow subscription, and setup needs pricing as its own line because several of these vendors include it or charge nothing. Worked example, with the assumptions stated: 240 invoices a month at an average of USD 300, 200 of them paid by card on the job. At Jobber's card rate of 2.9 percent plus USD 0.30 (Jobber pricing), processing is USD 1,740 plus USD 60, which is USD 1,800 a month and USD 21,600 a year. Jobber Grow at 15 users bills USD 399 a month, USD 4,788 a year, which is the subscription side of that 4.5 multiple. Moving 100 of those payments to ACH at 1 percent, a US option on Jobber, cuts processing to USD 1,200 a month and saves USD 7,200 a year, which exceeds the software bill. Run the same math on your own invoice mix before you sign anything.
Setup prices differ in kind. Odoo publishes its implementation packs, Service Fusion includes personalized onboarding, Field Ascend charges nothing for setup, and Jobber and Kickserv both run free trials. Dynamics 365 projects are quoted partner by partner, so treat the license line and the setup line as separate and make each bidder price data migration, scheduling configuration and training on their own lines. When we plan a first phase for a crew this size, our target at Flectic is a usable scheduling and invoicing rollout in 8 to 12 weeks, judged against your own job history.
How to choose and how to start
Run the decision in this order:
- Count logins, including the dispatcher, estimators and anyone who opens the account from the office. Jobber's definition, anyone who accesses the account from the office or the field, is the one to plan on until a vendor says otherwise (Jobber pricing).
- Price three lines at that count: subscription from the tables above, card fees at your real payment mix, and setup as its own written line.
- Pick the shape. Standalone fits short residential jobs paid on site. ERP-connected fits commercial customers with many sites, recurring agreements, or truck stock that must reconcile with accounting. At this crew size, the Odoo free app and the Dynamics 365 license mix are the two priced entries.
- Trial on live jobs. Jobber's 14 day Grow trial takes no card, Kickserv runs 30 days, Service Fusion includes onboarding, and Field Ascend's trial bills only if you miss the cancellation. Push one parts job through the mobile app on the technician's own phone.
- Ask what changes at the next size. The vendor set and the seat math shift around 30 technicians; field service pricing for 30 technicians works that stage.
If the ERP-connected shape fits your customers, bring the login count, the five busiest job types and a month of invoices to a call. We run implementations on the Flectic Accelerated Delivery Framework and turn that material into a phased plan with prices.
How Flectic can help
Flectic implements ERP on Odoo or Dynamics 365 for companies of 20 to 100 people in the US and Canada, and we customize only where the business case pays for it. Flectic sends a written proposal with a fixed price for each phase before work starts. For how that first phase gets scoped, see ERP implementation services. Book a free discovery call with Flectic to see whether a small field service first phase fits your crews.

Frequently asked questions
How many users can I have with Service Fusion?
Every Service Fusion plan includes unlimited users, so the monthly bill stays the same as your crew grows. The tiers differ by features, with inventory and job costing on Plus and the customer portal on Pro. Plans run month to month unless you choose the annual payment.
Are there any contract commitments?
Service Fusion and Field Ascend bill month to month by default, and Jobber publishes no-commitment monthly rates on Core, Connect and Grow, with annual billing priced lower; Plus is shown only on annual billing. Field Ascend publishes a 3-user minimum and charges nothing for setup. Kickserv states 20 percent off annual subscriptions and leaves the discounted amounts unprinted, so ask for the annual figure in writing.
What accounting software does Jobber sync with?
QuickBooks Online sync starts on Jobber Connect, one tier above Core. Job costing and automatic time tracking arrive on Grow. If you run QuickBooks Desktop, confirm support with Jobber before you buy, because the published plans name QuickBooks Online.
What is a Light User?
Odoo sells a Light User license at USD 8.90 with a limited app set that includes Field Services, My Planning and barcode inventory work. Light Users are sold through a meeting with an advisor and a custom quote. Odoo excludes implementation from every subscription, so plan setup as a separate purchase.
Where can I get implementation services, and how much does it cost?
Odoo directs companies under 50 employees to Success Packs, priced for new customers at USD 3,060 for 25 hours or USD 5,950 for 50 hours, with 15 percent off the first pack. Dynamics 365 Field Service projects are quoted by implementation partners per project. Ask each bidder to price data migration, configuration and training as separate lines.
Is free software enough for a growing small business?
Odoo's first app runs free with unlimited users, hosting and support, and Field Service can be that app. Odoo says apps that depend on your free app stay free with it, and which additional apps keep the database on the free plan depends on the app set, so have Odoo or your implementation partner walk your app list before you build on it. Once paid plans start, Standard is priced per user per month, and setup is bought separately as Success Packs aimed at companies under 50 employees.
